Ace’s good looks and correct, strong muscular type are not just the luck of the draw. Ace comes from a lineage of great champions, methodically bred for correct temperament and type. From his dark almond-shaped eyes to his to his solid top line, Ace exemplifies the breed standard.
Ace's show career took off as a young puppy and went to the stars. He finished his American Championship in seven shows, with three majors and an Award of Merit at 12 months old. At 16 months old he was awarded his first group placement and finished the year as the number nine rottweiler.
The following year he received an Award of Merit at Westminster, several specialty wins, including the Canadian National Rottweiler Specialty, numerous group placements and wins, and an All-Breed Best in Show. By the end of 2005 he had risen to the #2 rottweiler in the nation in group points.
In 2006, Ace began the year with his second Award of Merit at Westminster, and continued to gain the judges and exhibitor's approval throughout the year. He finished the year as the #1 ranked rottweiler in the country, by both breed and group rankings. By this time he had accumulated almost 70 group placements (more than the top 10 rottweilers combined!), and over 2200 breed points, along with another Best in Show. The highlight of this year was the
Best of Breed and Group three placement at the Eukanuba National Championship Show, in Long Beach California on December 3rd, his fourth birthday.
On
February 12, 2007 Ace received another pinnacle achievement by taking the
Best of Breed at Westminster!
In October, 2007 Ace won
Best in Specialty Show at the Medallion Rottweiler Club, and in January of 2008
he earned his CDX title. During this time, Ace has not only demonstrated his
ability in the obedience ring, he is also learning a new skill:
sheep herding.
This year, we are proud
to say that Ace Won a Best in Show at the Colonial Rottweiler Club in May, and
an All-Breed Best in Show in June at Indiana. To date, Ace has won 18
Best in Specialty Shows! He also won the "Top 20"
show at the ARC Nationals in May, 2008, the only dog to win this prestigious event
twice.
